Deep,
spicy, and revitalizing, India Breakfast Tulsi Tea has the fuller,
heartier flavor drinkers of black tea adore. Its smooth taste is
terrific alone, and delicious when enhanced by milk, soy milk, or other
delicate creamer of your choice.
In this blend, we selected organic Assam (known
for its body, briskness, malty flavor, and strong, bright color) and
combined it with organic Ayerpadi, a special black tea leaf making
headlines in the tea world for its deep, complex flavor.
In the Western World, green tea has gotten a
great deal of attention. Yet researchers now believe that black tea
provides many of the same health benefits as green tea. Studies of
humans and animals show that the antioxidants in both black and green
teas are highly beneficial to our health; they modify our metabolism to
detoxify our body from harmful chemicals.
Both black and green tea come from the camellia
tea plant and are rich in polyphenols, which are a type of antioxidant.
These wonder nutrients scavenge for cell-damaging free radicals in the
body and detoxify them. Whether it’s green or black, tea has about
eight to 10 times the polyphenols found in fruits and vegetable.
The "secret" ingredients in this
virtuosic tea is Tulsi. Tulsi (also known as Holy Basil) is a powerful
healing herb that has been revered for over 5000 years in India for its
ability to relieve stress and boost the body’s natural immune system.
Organic India is the first company to bring Tulsi to the West as an
organic tea. We work with thousands of farmers in India to cultivate
the herb using environmentally sustainable methods, restoring vitality
to the earth and dignity to its people.
