This chess set is beautifully handcrafted by Mullingar Pewter in County Westmeath, Ireland. The set includes all pieces and the board. It is brand new direct from the factory.
One of the features that really makes this piece special are the rook pieces which are Irish round towers-a treasure that is seen throughout the countryside in Ireland. In ancient times the round towers were used as a refuge against invaders. All pewter pieces are lead-free.
