The mitochondria are the main energy generators of aerobic cells and primary sites of ATP synthesis. MityQondria® is nutrition for the mitochondria, supporting bioenergetics with Co-Q10, alpha lipoic acid, acetyl-L-carnitine arginate and creatine.

Co-Q10, an important antioxidant found in high concentration in the human heart and liver, plays a critical role in the cell’s electron transport system needed for ATP (i.e., energy) production in the mitochondria. MityQondria® contains Kaneka Q10® in the natural trans configuration, which is the same form synthesized in the human body.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is a water and lipid-soluble antioxidant required by the mitochondrial matrix pyruvate dehydrogenase complex, which is the starting point of the mitosolic TCA (energy) cycle.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine Arginate (ALCA) from Sigma-Tau Industries, S.p.A. (Rome, Italy), is a novel molecular combination of the amino acids acetyl-L-carnitine and L-arginine. Acetyl-L-Carnitine participates in the synthesis of energy by its effects on fatty acid metabolism in the mitochondria.
