What are rose hips?
Also known as “dog rose” (Latin name = Rosa canina), the scarlet “hips”
are hand picked during their peak of ripeness to ensure optimum
quality. The dog rose is native to Europe, Northern Africa and Western
Asia, and its hips are traditionally used as a fruity breakfast tea,
often in combination with hibiscus flower. Rose hip tea is particularly
suitable for small children. How does it taste? Pleasantly fruity, sweet and sour. Its vitamin C content gives it a fresh, tart taste.

For maximum benefit, herbal tea must be properly prepared. Pour 8 oz. freshly boiled water over a tea bag in a cup. Cover cup and steep 10-15 minutes. These steps directly influence the amount of beneficial components that will end up in your teacup!
Gently squeeze the tea bag
to release any remaining extract. As a refreshing, healthy beverage, drink several cups daily.
For an extra strength brew, use two teabags or brew up a whole pot using four or five teabags.
